We have been watching intently the as COVID-19 has taken its grip across the world and have been following all of the advice given to us and have implemented this across our business as we have been told to.
The unprecedented steps announced by our Prime Minister Boris Johnson a couple of days ago has now changed how we are going to be viewing things and we feel as a directorship team that we need to act – we are members of some of the luckier industries whom are able to work from home equally as effectively for our clients and it is with that in mind that we have decided to trigger that stage of our disaster planning and thankfully due to the infrastructure we have been putting in place over the last few years it means we can do this safely.
As a client of Affinity the same incredible people will still be looking after all of your needs and it has highlighted to us the huge importance of the advice we give around not only our mortgage and financial products but also the protection surrounding these – especially in such uncertain times.
Our commitment to the community that we work for is at the forefront of our minds and the safety, health and well-being of our team and their families – we take the responsibility of the higher risk individuals extremely seriously and as a firm whom has always supported our NHS financially through fundraising and fee free service we are hoping to alleviate any additional pressure so the people who really need the care, will receive it as quickly as possible.
Affinity will do its part, however it is business as usual in these circumstances, so a few things that are important right now:
· All of our brokers and staff are fully contactable on the usual telephone numbers, email addresses, and our website
· We are speaking to the lenders and providers everyday to ensure we have up to date information for our clients or anybody whom contacts us for help
· We WILL NOT BE FEE CHARGING FOR RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGES – this is a time of unease for us all and our hope is that we may be able to help people who really need some advice
· We ARE OPEN – and are using technology to carry out all appointments – we have multiple platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype and FaceTime as well as phone and email of course – you still have us – just a bit further away
These measures are in force as of today and I would urge any client old or new to contact Affinity should you have any query at all prior to speaking to your bank or provider where we will assist you for free during this worldwide crisis.
